I am so happy to be able to support Sherry Appleton for re-election. She has worked hard on Elder and Adult Day Health by championing them in the budget and getting $1.35 million to serve 1595 clients. This is the wise use of our tax dollars that is repaid many times over by the ability of the families involved to continue to work, contributing to the income for the state.

Appleton has been recognized nationally for her work in assuring funding for these vulnerable members of our community, through the National Adult Day Services Association, The Senator John Heinz Memorial Award after the late Senator, and she was awarded the first Elder and Adult Day Services Legacy Award.

This is an important contribution to the health and wellbeing of our community, socially, morally and financially.
