UNIVERSITY PLACE – Tori Gollinger scored a season’s best 10 goals and delivered 8 ground balls as Curtis rolled to a 20–10 girls high school lacrosse win over North Kitsap, Friday at Curtis High School in University Place.
North Kitsap (2-8-0) faces Forest Ridge (5-5-1) in its last game of the season, Tuesday, in a 4 p.m. start at Robinswood Park in Bellevue. A win, and North Kitsap finishes in or tied for seventh in the 10-team Southwest League of Division II Washington Schoolgirls Lacrosse.
For Curtis (6-6-0), eight players scored in the team’s win. For North Kitsap, Mallory Glebe had 5 goals and Emilie Poffenroth had 3, and Val Kranich made 16 saves in the nets.
Klahowya (9-0-0), leads the league, followed by Garfield (8-1-0), Bainbridge (6-3-0), Kennedy (6-3-0), Curtis (5-4-0), Lake Tapps (4-4-0), North Kitsap (2-6-0), Holy Names (2-7-0), Evergreen (1-8-0), and Tahoma 1-8-0).
