A 31-year-old East Bremerton man, with two outstanding warrants for arrest was apprehended June 10 in Kingston.
According to reports, when he was arrested he possessed stolen property, including a 1993 Jeep Cherokee, painted white, and tools used to break in and burglarize cars and homes.
At 6 p.m. deputies responded to a call regarding loud yelling at the Affordable Spare Room Storage Units off of State Highway 104.
When deputies arrived, the white Jeep was pulling out of the driveway and turning onto Gamble Bay Road.
They found the Jeep parked and unoccupied on Border Way. The driver, who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, was walking back in the direction of the storage units. He had on a newer looking Adidas jacket, which deputies believed to be stolen, beneath his hoodie.
Upon checking the license plates and vin number of the vehicle they found it stolen.
According to reports, a taser was applied to the man to get him to comply. One taser dart entered near the collar of his sweatshirt, the other on the front of his neck.
Medical units were called to remove them.
After his arrest, a search of his vehicle yielded a stolen Washington State handicap placard, four pairs of pliers, bolt cutters, a large bag of tools, and among other things, several pieces of broken spark plug porcelain “commonly used by thieves to break out car windows,” reports said.
The main was booked in jail for a total of $72,500.
