POULSBO — A Poulsbo 15-year-old who told police officers he was just “getting high and enjoying the day” was arrested last week for possession of paraphernalia and not giving officers his name.
Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies were called to the 8800 block of Central Valley Road in East Bremerton Aug. 15 after a resident reported an unresponsive person sitting on the ground, reports said.
When police searched the teen they found a package of syringes, plus a glass pipe and some tobacco laced with white powder that tested positive for amphetamine.
The boy didn’t give the officers his name, offering first obscene, joke-names, then names that couldn’t be verified.
“Due to him lying about his name for over 20 minutes, I was unsure if he was telling the truth,” a deputy wrote.
The teen was booked into juvenile detention for possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a law enforcement officer.
