Mayor Kathryn Quade and I had lunch recently to discuss the upcoming campaign. I have always been straightforward in my relationship with everyone. We discussed the reasons I will not be endorsing her this time. I thought I had been straightforward, however, Sunday I discovered she listed me as a supporter on her Web site. I have no idea how many saw this but I asked her to remove my name.

This has nothing to do with our friendship, I consider she and (her husband) Doug as friends. however, as the old saying goes, “politics make for strange bedfellows,” so I want to make it clear that was an error.

I wish to set the record straight that I will be voting for Becky Erickson for mayor of Poulsbo this Nov. 3.
