COMPUTER CLASS: Kitsap Regional Library’s computer literacy program will offer Internet 101 from 12:30 – 2 p.m. today. Designed for the novice computer user, this hands-on class will teach the skills to begin navigating the Web. MARINE SCIENCE CENTER: The Poulsbo Marine Science Center offers classes for new and prospective volunteers. CHUCKWAGON: Chuckwagon Senior Nutrition Program invites seniors age 60 and older to attend a special Father’s Day Lunch at noon on June 12. The meal will be served at locations in East Bremerton, Port Orchard, Kingston, Silverdale, Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island. Call for reservations and location information. PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Poulsbo Firefighters will be hosting its 10th annual Pancake Breakfast at the main fire station, 911 NE Liberty Road on June 15. They will offer pancakes, sausage, hashbrowns, eggs, coffee and juice to the public from 7 a.m. until noon. Proceeds will benefit the Firefighters Community Assistance Fund.

BOTANICAL ILLUSTRATION: Portraying the Plant classes are offered through Poulsbo Parks & Recreation June 24-Aug. 5 from 7-9:30 pm at the Recreation Center. Beginners and more experienced artists welcome; students will learn observation & measurement skills, watercolor washes, and dry brush technique to render realistic leaves, flowers, and other botanical subjects. ORCA TRIP: Poulsbo Parks & Recreation is offering an exciting day trip to San Juan Island on June 25. Participants will take a chartered coach to Port Townsend where they will board the Glacier Spirit. The boat trip includes an hour-long narrated tour and viewing of the Orcas. Once on San Juan, you can enjoy 2.5 hours of strolling Friday Harbor and lunch at a restaurant of your choice.
