Rabedeaux, Perry, Graebner elevate Vikings past Riders | Boys basketball

The Port Angeles Roughriders fell short against a trio of North Kitsap Vikings.

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Roughriders’ defense failed to stop a trio of North Kitsap Vikings.

North Kitsap varsity players Ethan Graebner, David Perry and Cole Rabedeaux led the Vikings to a 96-66 victory on the road Jan 6.

Graebner scored 18, including 8 points on free throws.Perry added 20 points to the scoreboard.

And Rabedeaux led the Vikings with 23 points. He had 10 steals and six assists.

North Kitsap’s Calvin Dennis and Nate McCown led the team with six rebounds each.

The Vikings led through three quarters. They led 50-25 at the half.The Riders outscored the Vikings 27-25 in the third quarter, but fell short 21-14 in the fourth.

The win boosts the Vikings to 3-1 in conference play and 7-4 overall. They are second in the Olympic League, behind the Olympic Trojans (4-0, 8-3).

The Vikings prepare for 1A Port Townsend (1-1, 1-7). The teams meet in the North Kitsap Gymnasium at 7 p.m., Jan. 9.
