Supports Torrens for school board

I have experienced Val’s efforts with the school district first-hand during her current term, from my involvement in keeping the swimming pool doors open, the Capital Facilities Advisory Committee, the Community Pool Advisory Committee, the NKHS Band Boosters and most recently the Superintendent Search Committee.

I am writing to express my support for the re-election of Val Torrens to the North Kitsap School Board.

I have experienced Val’s efforts with the school district first-hand during her current term, from my involvement in keeping the swimming pool doors open, the Capital Facilities Advisory Committee, the Community Pool Advisory Committee, the NKHS Band Boosters and most recently the Superintendent Search Committee.

Do I always agree with Val? No, I don’t, but I have certainly seen her grow in her role on the school board. She has reached the point where she has become a seasoned school board member.

I fully believe she has the right mindset for the future success of the North Kitsap School District as the district confronts many difficult issues. It simply is not the right time to start over and wait for a new board member to get up to speed  when  we  already  have  the right individual in the position.

Val’s heart is in the right place and she supports our kids 100 percent.
