Majority wish being ignored

Six hundred and thirty-two adults signed a petition to remove the Hansville speed tables, yet the county refuses to listen to this majority.

The county required committees for and against the speed tables to meet endlessly, until they could compromise. Committee votes were taken, and the majority voted to remove the tables, which supports that 632 petition signers represent a majority viewpoint. We were told this committee vote would be final, but now we are told that the speed tables will remain. Does this sound like democracy to you?
