Purdy Bridge inspection closes lanes on Monday

PURDY – Drivers who use State Route 302 should prepare for some possible delays this Monday as the Washington State Department of Transportation conducts a routine scheduled inspection of the Purdy Bridge.

Flaggers will reduce SR 302 to one alternating lane of traffic at the bridge from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, June 23. During that time, crews working for WSDOT’s Bridge Preservation Office will inspect the bridge.

This routine inspection is part of WSDOT’s Bridge Inspection Program in which all state highway bridges are inspected at least once every two years.

Due to limited width on the bridge, over-width loads will also be prohibited on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Motorists can stay informed of traffic impacts by visiting WSDOT’s travel alerts web pages or by following WSDOT on Twitter.
