Look for Lions on street corners May 4-5

All donations from the community are used locally for sight and hearing needs.

Members of the Poulsbo Noon Lions and Evening Pride Branch Lions will take to North Kitsap streets May 4-5, to raise funds as part of their annual White Cane Days.

All donations from the community are used locally for sight and hearing needs. In addition to cash donations, club members will be collecting used eyeglasses, including non-prescription “readers” for recycling.

Poulsbo Lions will be outside Central Market and Albertsons in Poulsbo and Kingston, Red Apple in Poulsbo, the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal, and downtown Poulsbo on Front Street.

“We raised around $3,000 last year and hope to meet or exceed that goal this year,” project chair Pat Burch said. “With so many good causes needing help in North Kitsap, any donation, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated.”
