KINGSTON — Golfers will have a chance to swing for charity June 21 at the seventh Kingston Rotary Golf Classic at White Horse Golf Course.
The event benefits various projects in the community, including the Food for Kids program, Coffee Oasis, Kingston Boys & Girls Club, homeless youth in the north end of Kitsap, and Kingston High School scholarships.
The event can also increase the club’s pledge to the Village Green Foundation for the community center, and increase support for the local food banks and Kingston blood drives.
Registration is $150, which includes greens fee for 18 holes of golf, a cart, range balls, tee-off gifts, lunch, drink tickets, and dinner during the awards ceremony.
Guest dinner tickets are $25.
A shotgun start is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
New to the classic is the Putting Contest, sponsored by Century Link.
Golfers can expect “bigger and better prizes,” according to a news release. Other contests include Hole-in-One, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Drive. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third and fourth place.
