Commissioners for the Port of Bremerton will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Port Administration Offices, 8850 Highway 3, Bremerton.

On the agenda are a number of routine items including paying bills and transfer of funds. Commissioners will also hear an informational report on the 25th annual Blackberry Festival and related fly-in and car show.

One action item faces the board — a possible name change of the South Kitsap Industrial Area to become the Puget Sound Industrial Center.

Commissioners support the name change to show that most of it was annexed to the city of Bremerton in 2008-2009, and so that it reflects marketing to a wider audience of potential tenants.
