KEYPORT — The 21st annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Ceremony will take place in the Naval Undersea Museum’s Jack Murdock Auditorium on Dec. 7 at 1 p.m.
The event commemorates Japan’s bombing of Pearl Harbor, triggering the United States’ engagement in World War II.
Capt. Dave Kohnke, commander of Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport, will be the master of ceremonies, which includes an historical review of that fateful morning’s attack, comments from Pearl Harbor survivors, and performances by Navy Band Northwest.
A reception will follow in the Naval Undersea Museum lobby.
Admission to the ceremony and reception is free and open to the public.
NUWC Keyport is commemorating 100 years of providing technical capabilities that support America’s dominance in the undersea domain. NUWC Keyport is headquartered in Washington state and has facilities and operations in California, Guam, Hawaii, British Columbia, Nevada, and Pennsylvania, and personnel working in several other states and countries.
