POULSBO — The Agate Pass Sail & Power Squadron is hosting a boating course June 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 for boaters to obtain their state-required Boater Education card.
The class will be held at Martha & Mary Nursing Home, 19160 Front St., Poulsbo, from 6:45-9:15 p.m.
The State of Washington requires all boat operators of vessels with an engine of 15 hp or more to complete a safety education course and carry a Boater Education card. Anyone 50 years or younger is required to have a card.
Agate Pass Sail & Power Squadron is a nonprofit unit of U.S. Power Squadrons serving north Kitsap County and Bainbridge Island. The local squadron participates in Viking Fest and will be at the Port of Poulsbo’s National Marina Day June 8, conducting safety education and free vessel safety checks.
Agate Pass Sail & Power will also hold its annual Summer Rendezvous at the Port of Poulsbo June 21-23, with 15 other Puget Sound squadrons.
