POULSBO — An H. Nguyen, 33, of Poulsbo, is charged in Kitsap County Superior Court with third-degree child molestation and communication with a minor for immoral purposes.

On June 27, an employee and member of Newlife Church in Silverdale reported the alleged relationship to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office. The 15-year-old victim confided in a church youth group leader that she had been engaged in a sexual relationship with Nguyen since summer 2012, including explicit photographs and messages.

According to the report, the 15-year-old said Nguyen warned her not to talk to authorities because Nguyen would go to jail and she would be in trouble as well. The 15-year-old decided to speak to the church leader because she felt “bad about the relationship.”

Nguyen was booked into Kitsap County Jail on $200,000 bail.
