The Flotsam and Jetsam Garden Club of Hansville will offer at least two $1,000 scholarships for the school year beginning 2010 to students pursuing a degree or certificate in in an environmental or horticultural field.

High school seniors, college students and continuing education students are eligible to apply. Applications are available though high school advisors at the high schools or through the club. Deadline for applications is April 1.

The club also offers grants for the beautification and conservation of North Kitsap. All projects will be considered that aid in the protection of native plants and bird that include civic plantings. Deadline for applications is April 1.
