Drunk man attempts
to evict housemates
A 47-year-old Poulsbo man was arrested and booked in jail for assaulting his two roommates on Sept. 14.
The roommates arrived home to their residence on South Keyport Road to find the man intoxicated, yelling at them to get out. He accused them of “undermining” him to the landlord in attempts to get him kicked out.
When they grabbed their belongings to head out for the night, the man charged one and hit him in the head repeatedly.
According to police reports, when deputies arrived, one of the roommates had the man held to the ground in the surrounding woods.
Deputies placed the man in handcuffs and transported him to jail.
His bail was set at $5,000 for fourth-degree assault.
Man hits kid ‘in self-defense’
A 42-year-old Poulsbo man was arrested for assaulting a juvenile Sept. 15.
When deputies arrived they noticed the juvenile’s shirt was torn and stretched out around the collar and fresh fingernail scratches around the neck area.
Deputies discovered the root of the issue stemmed from an earlier verbal fight that resulted in disabling the juvenile’s car.
After yelling escalated, the juvenile allegedly charged the man and they wrestled to the ground.
According to deputy reports, the man admitted to punching the juvenile in the eye “in self-defense.”
He was handcuffed and taken to jail. His bail was set at $5,000.
