KINGSTON — David Moseley, assistant director of Washington State Ferries, is set to speak about Kingston-specific ferry changes Sept. 29 at the North Kitsap Fire & Rescue Headquarters, located on Miller Bay Road.
The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. as an improvisational Kingston Citizens Advisory Council (KCAC) meeting.
Greg Platz, KCAC co-chair said this takes the place of the committee’s scheduled meeting for October’s to accommodate WSF schedules.
Walt Elliott, Kingston Ferry Advisory Committee chair said the proposed reservation system, peak pricing options and improving Kitsap Transit connections are top on the agenda.
Currently, WSF is undergoing a public discussion process with all the ports affected by ferry system changes to come up with a strategic future plan, ensuring ferries financial and capital sustainability.
Elliott said this is the last pubic discussion meeting before WSF puts together its future plan, to be complete by mid-November, at which point a formal public hearing and comment period will commence.
