POULSBO — Brenda Ward accepted the position of District Technology Director for North Kitsap School District.

Ward is currently the principal at Barnes Elementary School in the Kelso School District where she began teaching in 1992.

“This is a dream job for me,” Ward said in a press release. “It combines both my interests in technology and curriculum. I am most excited about integrating technology into the classrooms.”

Ward will begin her position July 1. She fills the position left vacant after the resignation of former Director of Technology and Assessment Bill Every who left the district in December 2011 for a position with the Port Angeles School District.
