Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives are requesting assistance from the public as they work to identify two suspects involved in a South Kitsap burglary.
Two men, most likely of asian ethnicity, forced their way into an unoccupied house in the Sunnyslope area of South Kitsap while armed with handguns. The incident occurred 1-4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14.
Once inside, the suspects ransacked the residence. Items stolen during the burglary include a semi-automatic handgun, personal identifying documents belonging to the residents, credit cards, electronic entertainment console, jewelry and more.
Although the suspects appear to have arrived on foot, a black-colored Dodge Dakota pickup truck, operated by a third person, pulled into the driveway. It was used to carry the stolen property and the suspects away from the scene.
The Sheriff’s office believes that these same two suspects were involved in the recent theft of an ATM machine from a SeaTac-area motel.
Persons with any information about the two suspects, or the Dodge Dakota truck, are asked to contact Kitsap County Sheriff’s Detective Gerald Swayze at (360) 337-4479 or via Kitsap County Central Communications (9-1-1 dispatch) at (360) 308-5400. Reference case number K14-01167.
