UPDATE: The Kingston ferry resumed service at about 6 p.m. Thursday
KINGSTON — An unaccompanied piece of luggage found in a dumpster at the Kingston ferry terminal is stalling ferry traffic this afternoon.
The luggage was found at about 4 p.m.
Washington State Ferries spokeswoman Marta Coursey said the Puyallup ferry, which was arriving in Kingston when the luggage was found, has been held at the Kingston dock and will be sent back to Edmonds without unloading.
Coursey said Ferries officials have called law enforcement to the terminal.
Updates will be posted as they become available.
