As the seasons change and winter sheds its oversized coat for a promising spring, things are blooming in the town of Port Gamble.
On April 1, Tango Zulu Imports will be all settled into its new location just a couple of houses down from its previous home. All of your favorite handcrafted and fair-trade gifts from Tango Zulu now will be available in the large white and green house on Port Gamble’s main street.
After a successful, one-day St. Paddy’s Day special, Mike’s 4-Star BBQ in Port Gamble will add its now-famous Reuben sandwich to the menu beginning April 3. Make sure to stop by and grab one before they’re gone.
It’s not too early to be thinking spooky thoughts as registration is open for the 2013 Port Gamble Ghost Conference, scheduled for Oct. 18-19 at the Hood Canal Vista Pavilion. The popular annual conference features paranormal investigations, lectures, ghost tours, discussions and more. Who says lumberjacks can’t run? The annual Lumberjack Endurance Run, sponsored by Roots Rock Trail Running, hits the Port Gamble trails April 13-14 with 100-mile, 100-kilometer and 50-mile options on a 12.5-mile loop through Port Gamble’s wooded terrain. Ribbon cuttings welcome new businesses in March
Port Gamble’s growing business community welcomed two new businesses to town in March with celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
On March 16, Port Gamble town manager Shana Smith helped Tame the Beast Aromas owner Haisly Jimenez celebrate the new location at 4790 NE State Highway 104.
