There is a difference

I’d bet Adele Ferguson would go to the mat defending the rights of conscientious objectors who were being forced to bear arms against aggressors in Iraq. But in typical liberal mindset, she’s hoping the Supreme Court will force conscientious, objecting pharmacists to dispense RU-486 against the “aggressors” in the womb (“Recent news that truly deserves a comment,” Adele Ferguson, Feb. 27). She sees no difference between condoms that prevent life from starting and a drug that kills it after conception. “Emergency contraception” is a euphemism for chemical abortion.

Pharmacists are good people (who, thankfully, were not aborted by their mothers) and who promote life in the fight against disease. But if Ms. Ferguson has her way, their livelihood is at risk unless they turn away from their consciences and embrace the modern sexual revolution.

The sexual revolution itself has turned the tables by turning procreation into recreation, and part of the game is using health providers to disable healthy organs and their natural function. The result? Pregnancy is now a disease, fertility a curse and children are mostly unwanted. Ms. Ferguson probably sees contraception and abortion as supporting women’s rights, but she is unwittingly supporting that certain type of man who sees a pregnant woman as a broken toy and the abortionist as the toy maker who fixes her up again. This modern mindset only dehumanizes women and proposes another “final solution,” but this time against the future of America — our children.
