KINGSTON — With cold temperatures expected to remain Dec. 30-31, the Kingston severe weather shelter will open again for those in need of a warm place to stay.
The shelter is located at North Kitsap Fire & Rescue headquarters, 26642 Miller Bay Road NE. Guests can arrive between 6-9 p.m.
The shelter at Bremerton Foodline, 1600 12th Street, will also open.
Kingston can expect a high temperature of 37 degrees Dec. 30, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will drop below freezing at night, with a low of 23.
The temperature is expected to peak around 39 degrees on Dec. 31. Temperatures will drop to the low 20s at night.
Temperatures will begin to warm Jan. 2, with chances of rain.
