Bucs cross country win first league invite Sept. 20

The Kingston High School teams, Junior Varsity and Varsity, outran Port Angeles and Port Townsend.

PORT ANGELES — Kingston High School’s first cross country league meet, held at Lincoln Park Sept. 20, ended with a win by all Kingston teams.

The teams, Junior Varsity and Varsity, outran Port Angeles and Port Townsend.

Kingston boys varsity runner Devon Jacob was finished second in the pack to cross the finish line with a time of 16 minutes 27.99 seconds. He finished behind Port Angeles’ Kyle Tupper, 16:04.93.

Girls varsity runner Annie Roberts topped the charts, finishing in 19:44.88.

The boys varsity team had a total time of 1:28:10.00.

Girls varsity had a total time of 1:44:14.00.

The boys Junior Varsity team finished in 1:33:09.00.

If the stats had been kept for the girls JV team, it would have been a win as well, according to coach Karla Manuguid.
