Update | Wind bursts in South Kitsap cause trees to fall; 3,000 without power in Port Orchard

Puget Sound Energy is reporting that 88 customers in Port Orchard are without power, as of 3:20 p.m.

Puget Sound Energy is reporting that about 3,000 customers in Port Orchard are without power, as of 3:20 p.m. A brief stretch of high winds have knocked down trees and sent branches onto power lines, including Lake Flora SE and Phillips Road SE in South Kitsap.

Spring Creek Road, between Van Dekar Road SE and State Road Shop, also is closed due to fallen power lines entangled in trees.Kitsap County Courthouse and Administration Building officer have closed due to lost power.

Lake Flora (between Glenwood and Schweitzer), SE Garfield at the intersection with Woods, and NW Holly at the intersection with NW Wildcat are closed due to downed trees with power lines entangled.

Phillips Road SE is closed between SE Emelia Lane and SE Baker Road due to a tree falling with power lines entangled. Puget Sound Energy is responding.
