A 24-year-old woman is in the hospital and the male who sent her there is still on the loose.
According to Kitsap County Sheriff’s Public Affairs Officer Scott Wilson, the female was allegedly stabbed by an unknown male in the Washington Federal Savings and Loan parking lot around 1:45 this afternoon.
“She claims the man came up to her and asked for directions and she was stabbed,” Wilson said.
The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black colored hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants and is likely in his 30s.
A K-9 search of the area turned up nothing, and no one has been detained regarding the case.
“We don’t have any leads on anyone that I know of,” Wilson said Wednesday evening.
The female called her sister to pick her up, and the two headed toward Harrison Medical Center, but then pulled over to wait for medics to arrive. The woman briefly spoke with the Bremerton Police Department before being airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Wilson said after the woman’s surgery and recovery she will be questioned further about the incident.
