Incumbents hold their ground in fire/port commish race

From KITSAP NEWS Reports

In Central Kitsap’s only two contested races, Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue commissioner and Port of Brownsville commissioner, the incumbents will keep their seats on their respective boards. Ken Erickson, who has been one of CKFR’s commissioners for eight years, keeps his spot as the board’s Position 4 commissioner for another six years. Erickson was challenged by Dennis Sheline, a firefighter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.

Allen Miller, a Port of Brownsville commissioner for the past four years, also retains his seat for the next six years. Miller is a retired U.S. Navy Civil Service engineer. Challenger Arley Bright was hoping to bring his more than 30 years of financial, administrative and leadership experience to the position.
