The Central Kitsap Community Council is exploring “Safe Routes to Schools” in the areas surrounding CK schools near the Kitsap Fairgrounds.
A “Town Hall” meeting will be at Fairview Junior High School library May 15 at 7 p.m. to discuss the issue.
Representatives of Kitsap County public works will be describing the county’s plans for improving traffic flows and pedestrian walkways in the general area around Woodlands, Cottonwood, Fairview Junior High, and Olympic High schools.
The county is seeking help from the Central Kitsap community including parents, students, homeowners and others about the county’s plans and how they should be amended and/or changed.
