Wanting to do its part in this slow economy, the Jewel Box Theatre, Poulsbo, is offering a special discount on a limited number of tickets during the opening weekend of every show this year.

These special tickets will not be available by reservations or at the door, according to Herron Miller of the Jewel Box. The discount tickets can only be purchased online at www.brownpapertickets.com in increments of two (search: Poulsbo/Piano). The price is $12 for two tickets Friday night and $16 for two tickets Saturday night.

The first show to apply this discount is “I Love a Piano,” opening on May 29. “This is a revusical that follows the ownership of a piano from 1910 to present day through the songs of Irving Berlin,” said Miller. “Ragtime, Prohibition, the Great Depression, the big band era of World War II, it’s all here in song, dance and comedy.”
