Bus Service Mall management, Kitsap Transit, city, county leaders are abandoning Kitsap residents

Bus Service

Mall management, Kitsap Transit, city, county leaders are abandoning

Kitsap residents

Just what is the problem that no progress has been made to secure a stop and pick up place at Kitsap Mall for Kitsap Transit riders and ACCESS bus customers?

Again we are being treated like second class citizens, being pushed aside and being made to walk through pouring down rain and trudge through wind and snow storms to make our way to the mall entrances.

What is wrong with Kitsap Transit representation that there is so little power to convince the mall management that this is an extremely important problem?

Kitsap Transit has been given until the middle of February to secure places for the buses to stop.

What about the head of Kitsap Transit? What about the mayor of Bremerton? What about the county commissioners?

Have they all lost interest and the support for the citizens who ride the buses?

It’s now January 2011, and fast approaches the middle of February and the deadline for the decision to be made, and all we hear about are discussions, discussions, discussions.

Discussions are to no avail unless the citizens of the county are accommodated.

Are gay advocates explaining risks?

Before moving to Bremerton in 1997, I lived for over 40 years in the Bay Area (we subscribed to the San Francisco Chronicle for years) and being very aware of the homosexual lifestyle and their agenda, at the risk of being labeled every name under the sun by the “politically correct” crowd, I have three concerns and must ask these important questions:

1. Were the students (Dec. 17, Gay Straight Alliance wants school bullying at Central Kitsap High addressed) told about the dangers involved in the behavior of homosexuals? Yes, I know some of that applies to heterosexuals also in some cases.

2. Are young people really mature enough to understand the lifestyle and the consequences?

3. Why are those who are opposed to the lifestyle for religious and/or moral reasons put in a position of being denounced if they voice their feelings?

It seems to me that ones sexual orientation, whatever it may be, should not be shouted to the world! Personally I don’t want to know how my friends, family members, neighbors, etc. behave in their bedrooms — keep it to yourself!
