Whether we like it or not, we cannot stay young forever.

But Clockstoppers can help stave off wrinkles and keep people looking and feeling youthful for as long as possible.

Clockstoppers Preventive Aging and Medical Clinic in Old Town Silverdale celebrated its grand opening Monday. Dr. Janet Vondran and her sons, Tony and Michael, opened the one-of-a-kind facility in January.

“We’re the only preventive aging clinic on the Kitsap Peninsula,” Tony said. “There’s only a few doctors in the entire state, much less the area, doing this.”

Janet has been practicing in the Bremerton area for 14 years. She worked at Harrison Medical Center and decided the time was right to open her own preventive aging practice.

“The doctor had been seeing patients part-time in her own home and saw there was a great need for this in this area,” Tony said.

Janet’s son, Michael, a Washington state licensed esthetician, uses the latest laser technology to provide a plethora of skin rejuvenation services including wrinkle and scar removal. The doctor’s other son, Tony, serves as Clockstoppers’ office manager.

“We actually had a medical practice in West Virginia about 20 years ago now and that was very successful and we wanted to get back into our own practice here,” Tony said.

Clockstoppers is most known for its wellness program. Janet uses a variety of testing techniques, including neuro-transmitter and biochemical testing, to create an individualized wellness plan for each patient she treats.

“The doctor will sit down with the patient and determine what tests need to be done and we’ll model a treatment plan according to that specific patient,” Tony said. “Some patients want to focus on weight loss or memory work.”

Janet can tailor specific wellness plans for people wanting to lose weight or regain some of their mental sharpness. Janet uses a state-of-the-art body composition machine to read a patient’s weight, muscle mass, water intake level and other important health factors. Clockstoppers also tests for allergies and other sensitivities.

“A lot of people don’t realize that they could feel a lot better and just think they’re getting older and are supposed to feel that way,” Tony said.

By using bioidentical hormone replenishment therapy, nutrition and nutritional supplements, exercises, lifestyle modification and stress management tools, Janet and her sons ensure that patients will feel and look younger.

“It’s almost like being reborn,” Tony said.

Clockstoppers has a full-body massage chair and offers a relaxation package to patients. The two-hour package includes a relaxing massage, along with a soothing facial and hand and arm treatment.

Tony said being office manager is challenging, but he enjoys spending more time with his mother and brother.

“Getting to see my family a lot more is wonderful,” Tony said.

Tony said many patients followed his mother from her home practice to the Old Town Silverdale business. New patients are slowly finding the practice as well.

“So far it’s been good,” he said.
