SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED
CHENEY — Jennalee Schuler of Silverdale has been awarded $2,500 through the Trustees Fund for the 2009-10 academic year at Eastern Washington University. The award is given to a student who maintains a 3.8 or better gpa and is a continuing Eastern Washington University student.
Schuler graduated from Central Kitsap High School three years ago, where she was enrolled in the Running Start program.
She is the daughter of Mark and Debbie Schuler of Silverdale.
WALKERS NEEDED
Ashley Gardens, a memory care community, is organizing a team of staff, family, friends and residents to walk in the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk in Silverdale on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Memory Walk is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. All Memory Walk donations benefit the Alzheimer’s Association, the leading health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
