Several of the South Kitsap sports teams competed over the weekend with a mix of results:

DANCE:

The Wolves placed second in Dance out of 21 teams who made it to the WIAA 4A State Championships. The first and second place teams were separated by only two points. The team also placed fifth in Hip Hop, which is the highest placing for South Kitsap since 2001. Senior Tamara Medal made it into the top 15 in drill down, and Michelle Dean was awarded the Kaitlyn Rebstock Memorial Dance Scholarship.

TRACK & FIELD:

Track and Field competed against Gig Harbor on Friday, and set many personal records and seasonal bests. On Saturday, the boys team ended up fourth out of 25 teams, and the girls finished seventh out of 24 teams at the Kent–Meridian Invitational. The Wolves only home meet is tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.  FASTPITCH:

Varsity lost to Yelm Friday night 3-2. Pitcher Ali Paulino only allowed five hits, and Sophia Canton went three-for-four with three doubles. Kendell Clauson hit two-for-three with one run scored, and Mariah Grice hit a triple with an RBI.

On Saturday the Wolves lost to Puyallup 6-1. Kindra Hawkinson went two-for-three. Hailey Fritz had a double with a run scored. Summer Suldan only gave up one hit in her three scoreless innings on the mound.

GIRLS LACROSSE:

The girls lacrosse team got their first win in school history on Saturday, beating Spanaway Lake 8-3.
