A public screening of the movie, “Return of the River,” which tells the story of the restoration of the Elwha River on the Olympic Peninsula, will be shown at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Central Kitsap High School Theater, 3700 NW Anderson Hill Road, Silverdale.

There is no fee to attend but donations will be accepted at the door. Donations will go to American Rivers, an organization that promotes the restoration of rivers in the United States.
