A 23-year-old Federal Way woman was arrested during a traffic stop in Bremerton this weekend after she was discovered with a quarter-pound of marijuana in her vehicle.

The incident started when she was stopped by a Washington State Patrol trooper along State Route 3 near the SR 304 interchange. The trooper noticed an obvious odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver produced a marijuana cigarette and a search of her vehicle revealed the individually packaged marijuana in the vehicle. The combined weight of the marijuana was just more than 300 grams.

The driver also was found to be driving on a suspended license. Her vehicle was impounded and she was booked in the Kitsap County Jail with bail set at $20,000.
