If followers of the Central Kitsap girls basketball team are experiencing a little déjà vu, it’s for good reason.
The Lady Cougars began the season 2-7, just as they began the 2006-07 season in league play (the Cougs were 4-7 overall after starting 4-0).
CK has since won four in a row, vaulting them back into the Narrows League playoff picture a year removed from a rally that saw them win 12 of their final 15 games to advance to the state tournament.
Now, at 6-7 overall and 5-5 in Narrows League Bay Division play, the Cougs are hoping to replicate last year’s magical run.
CK toppled Wilson on the road Tuesday, 64-43, staying 4-0 since the start of 2008.
Katie Lintz scored a game-high 15 for the Cougars, who also got 11 points out of Amanda Evans and a 10-point, seven-rebound effort from Sam Sudy.
The Cougars are in Olympia for a 7 p.m. contest against the Bears tonight.
