SILVERDALE — Construction workers busily painted buildings, walked on rooftops and drove heavy machinery as a few shoppers walked nearby at the new Trails at Silverdale shopping center along Greaves Way Oct. 20.
Shopper Brielle Foley said she was “stoked” about the open-air shopping center with its 220,000 square feet of retail and dining space.
“It’s pretty cool. It’s good to have new shops in the area,” Foley said.
Foley and two friends were checking out the new Ulta Beauty cosmetics store, which earlier had a soft opening. A grand opening for Ulta is Oct. 23.
“I think it looks really nice,” said Shaelynn Dalton, who was with Foley.
The stores opening this month will offer prizes to guests.
From Oct. 23-25, the first 100 guests at Ulta cosmetics each day will be given a free “beauty treat.”
HomeGoods, an off-price home fashions store, and an AT&T store will both open on Sunday, Oct. 25. The first 1,000 shoppers at HomeGoods on Sunday will receive a free reusable HomeGoods shopping bag.
A family friendly Harvest Festival will be Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the new store openings. The event will include a live radio remote appearance, bouncy house and Halloween themed events and games for kids. Complimentary beverages and light snacks will also be available.
The restaurant Blazing Onion will open by the end of the year. Chipotle, Corner Bakery, MOD Pizza, Pacific Dental, Select Comfort, Total Wine, and Verizon are all slated to open in the first half of 2016.
“We are excited to help celebrate the opening of the first of many new tenants in the Silverdale community, and we very much look forward to a series of store openings between now and next spring that will dramatically increase the range of shopping and dining choices in the area,” said Jean Paul Wardy, president of CenterCal Properties, in a press statement.
Pickup trucks and SUVs sit parked outside the brand new Ulta cosmetics store at the Trails at Sivlerdale Oct. 20. Ulta is the first store to open at the new center.
The press statement further read: “Located at the main intersection of Highway 3 and 303, The Trails at Silverdale brings a vibrant mix of retailers to the Kitsap regional marketplace as well as a collection of established chains looking to better serve the growing region. The shopping center will be a walkable destination where shoppers can spend leisure time with family and friends, enjoying a signature restaurant or connecting in one of the common areas outfitted with fire pits, water features, and open seating.”
