A drunken Silverdale man who arrived home at his apartment in the mood to fight March 6 ended up stabbing his half-brother.
Kitsap County sheriff’s deputies were called to the apartment on the 12200 block of Daphne Lane NW early Saturday morning after the assault, according to reports.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim, 18, from Suquamish, locked in a bedroom with a puncture wound to the left shoulder and his half-brother, the suspect, 23, from Silverdale, in the master bedroom.
The suspect had come home from a casino intoxicated and was, “in a mood to fight,” the 18-year-old told deputies.
The suspect then grabbed knives from the kitchen and stabbed a door, challenging others in the apartment to fight him.
When the victim attempted to get the suspect to go to bed, the two began wrestling and in the course of the fight, the suspect attempted to stab the knife in the bedroom wall but instead stabbed the victim, according to the report.
The suspect was taken to Harrison Medical Center and was then booked into the Kitsap County jail for investigation of second-degree assault.
