A 51-year-old Seabeck woman was found dead on her front lawn Monday morning.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Wilson said the 911 call was made around 10:30 a.m. stating that the woman was lying in the front yard of her home in the 10600 block of NW Pioneer Road in Seabeck.

Wilson said the woman’s husband worked the graveyard shift last night and came home this morning to find his wife, wearing a jogging suit-style outfit with no shoes on her feet, dead on their front lawn.

Wilson said it appears the woman has been lying on the front lawn for a while and there was blood at the scene.

“It’s a suspicious scene,” he said.

Wilson said the Kitsap County Coroner’s Office will perform an autopsy today. Detectives continue to investigate the incident.
