SILVERDALE — Six Klahowya players were named to the Narrows/Olympic All-Conference First Team on May 28 — one of them, attack Joe Hawley, for the fourth consecutive year.
All-Conference selections were made by varsity coaches in Washington.
In 13 regular-season games, Hawley, a senior, was third of all players in the 74-team state lacrosse league in goals, with 51; first in assists, with 54; and first in points per game, with 8.08.
Klahowya won the conference title, finishing the regular season 12-1-0, 14-1-0. Klahowya’s stellar year ended May 21 in a 12–4 quarterfinal loss to Richland, at Klahowya.
Earning placement on the All-Conference First Team for the second time: seniors Austin Keller, midfielder; Torsten Robinson, attack; Myles Crawford, defense; and Kyle Bergmann, goal. Junior Jonah Wilson, long-stick midfielder, makes his first appearance on the team.
Keller was ninth in the league in goals, 38; fourth in assists, 20; and fifth in points per game, 4.46. Robinson was seventh in ground balls with 94. Bergmann was third in save percentage, .587; fifth in saves, 111; and eighth in shots, 189.
Crawford bolstered the Klahowya defense with 48 ground-ball recoveries during the regular season. Wilson snagged 31 ground balls during the regular season, seven of them in one game vs. Port Angeles on April 13.
In Washington, 4,500 student-athletes attending more than 200 high schools play prep lacrosse, according to U.S. Lacrosse. The Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association comprises 74 teams in 13 conferences.
