Dig pink

Olympic High School will host a “DiG PiNK” charity volleyball match against South Kitsap at 6 p.m. Oct. 21.

The school hopes to raise at least $10,000 to support cancer awareness and research. Cancer survivors as well as those living with cancer will be honored, receiving free admission.

Admission is $5, which includes a pink T-shirt. Silver City Restaurant and Brewery is hosting a fundraiser Oct. 5, with a percentage of the sales going to OHS.

Basketball training

High school boys basketball players are invited to attend training sessions from 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18 and 25 and Nov. 1 and 8 to prepare for the upcoming season.

Each session will consist of skill development and conditioning with 30 minutes of controlled scrimmages. Players may attend as few or as many of the sessions they wish.

The sessions, instructed by Rick Walker and Craig Murray, are at Crosspoint Academy (formerly King’s West School), 4012 Chico Way NW in Bremerton. Baseball Pitchers School

The newly located Baseball Pitchers School — 4940 Auto Center Blvd. in Bremerton — is accepting registrations for individual and team sessions. There is discount for first-time registrations, ending Oct. 15.
