DEAN’S LISTS
LACEY — The following students were named to the dean’s list at Saint Martin University for spring semester 2008. To earn the academic honor, undergraduate students must receive a 3.5 grade point average or higher, carry at least a 12-semester-hour course workload and complete all coursework undertaken for the semester.
Silverdale — Brendan Campbell, senior, biology.
Bremerton — Mark Fojtik, sophomore, business administration; and Steven Campbell, junior, mechanical engineer.
PORTLAND, ORE. — Joesph Price of Silverdale was recently named to the spring semester 2008 dean’s list at the University of Portland. Price is a sophomore, majoring in sociology. Students need at least a 3.5 grade point average to make the dean’s list.
NATIONAL HONOR
The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) recently announced that Holy Names Academy student Gretchel Lomboy of Silverdale was selected for membership.
The National Society of High School Scholars recognizes academic excellence at the high school level and encourages members of the organization to apply their unique talents, vision and potential for the betterment of themselves and the world.
“On behalf of NSHSS, I am honored to recognize the hard work, sacrifice and commitment that Gretchel Lomboy has demonstrated to achieve this exceptional level of academic excellence,” said NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.
Lomboy is the daughter of Gilbert and Ethel Lomboy of Silverdale.
