Silverdale Rotary presented a $30,000 check to Haselwood Family YMCA recently.  It was the group’s third installment towards a $200,000 commitment to support the Teen Center.

“We are able to write this check because of the tremendous support from sponsors and the public buying 20,000 Duck Tickets during the 20th Annual Silverdale Rotary Duck Race in July 2013,” said Rotary president Jason Mayer.

Halli DePhillips, YMCA Senior Youth Director and Eric Baril accepted the check on behalf of the Teen Center.

Baril said that participation in the Teen Programs has been a positive influence on his life and has opened many doors.
