The Trojan boys dropped to 6-7 overall and 3-6 in league play after a 40-31 loss against North Kitsap Tuesday. Mike Riley led Olympic with 10 points. The Trojans host North Mason at 7 p.m. tonight.
The Lady Trojans (6-7, 5-4) squeaked past North Kitsap 49-47 on Tuesday to move into a three-way tie with Port Townsend and North Mason for fourth place in the Olympic League. Against NK, Alyson Chandler scored 17 points to lead Oly. The Lady Trojans are at North Mason tonight. Tip is 7 p.m.
Klahowya
Andre Moore scored 26 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Eagles fell to Bainbridge on the road Wednesday, 56-51. A night earlier, Moore poured in 27 in another narrow loss, this time against Seqium 50-49. The back-to-back losses dropped KSS to 5-7 overall and 4-5 in league play. The team hosts North Kitsap at 7 p.m. tonight.
The Klahowya girls have now won four games this season after a winless 2007-08 campaign. With a 50-32 win against Sequim Tuesday, the Lady Eagles improved to 4-7 overall and 2-6 in league play. Jordan Dixon led all scorers in the Sequim game with 23 points. The Lady Eagles visit North Kitsap tonight.
Central Kitsap
The CK boys continued their winning ways with impressive victories Monday against Shelton, 80-28, and Wednesday against Gig Harbor, 72-55, to remain atop the Narrows League Bay Division. The Cougars (11-3, 7-2) outscored Gig Harbor 39-25 in the second half and received double-figure scoring efforts from Cody Thurmond (18), Isaiah Thompson (15) and Phillip Thomas (22). The team is on the road against Foss tonight.
The CK girls lost against Gig Harbor 69-54 Wednesday. CK (8-4, 4-4) is currently in fourth-place in the Narrows League Bay Division behind Bellarmine Prep, Mount Tahoma and Olympia. The team hosts Foss at 7 p.m. tonight.
