These two deserve each other
A deputy was dispatched to a domestic disturbance call on Illahee Road NE in East Bremerton at 7:15 p.m. April 30, but the victim wanted to talk by phone.
The 22-year-old man said he was at his home with his 18-year-old girlfriend when she assaulted him. He said this is an ongoing problem and needs to stop. He said that night it started with a verbal argument and escalated to his girlfriend hitting and kicking him. The man said she kicked him in the “crotch” then tried to “rip his crotch off.” He went on to say that his girlfriend hit him in the arm with a plastic hanger, attempted to hit him with a power cord, hit him in the eye and bit his arm.
Deputies responded to the couple’s home on Illahee Road and spoke with the 18-year-old woman. She said they were arguing in the car, but returned home “since it’s not a good idea to drive while arguing.” She said her boyfriend got “snotty” with her and she “doesn’t put up with that.” The woman said her boyfriend turned off the heater and threw the dog out the door and down the steps. The woman was upset because she is an animal lover and the argument then turned physical.
She was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree assault. She was later released.
‘That’s not how you treat a lady’
Deputies responded to an assault in progress at Origami Sushi on Silverdale Way in Silverdale at about 9 p.m. April 30. A 40-year-old Silverdale man reportedly assaulted a 35-year-old East Bremerton man.
The victim told deputies he was sitting inside the restaurant with a couple of friends when a woman came up and started talking to them. He said he saw the 38-year-old Silverdale woman sitting in the restaurant with the 40-year-old man earlier, but did not see him leave the establishment. The suspect later came back in, grabbed the woman by the hood of her jacket and dragged her out the door.
The victim said the man was out in the parking lot yelling at the woman, so he jumped in and said, “That’s not how you treat a lady!” After making that comment, the suspect charged the East Bremerton man, punching him a few times and taking him to the ground. Once the men were separated, the suspect grabbed the woman by the arm and led her across Silverdale Way where deputies contacted him.
The man and woman would not share much information about the assault except that they were engaged and lived together. The man was arrested and booked into jail for fourth-degree assault.
