CK Fire board to meet Monday

On the agenda is a discussion of ambulance transport fees and the final adoption of the 2014 budget.

The Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue Board of Commissioners are set to meet Monday at 4 p.m.

On the agenda is a discussion of ambulance transport fees and the final adoption of the 2014 budget. No other details have been released on these items as of now.

The board has previously discussed the budget and voted to reduce the minimum number of firefighter/paramedics on each shift to 17. It had been 19.

While it isn’t expected that the board will change that decision, adopting the 2014 budget on Monday will seal that deal.

The board also is expect to select who will serve as chairman and vice chairman for the 2014 year. And one hire  of a lateral firefighter/paramedic position is also to be considered.

The meeting will be at the CKF&R headquarters building at 5300 NW Newberry Hill Road, Silverdale.
