County commissioners will meet Monday

Commissioners hold their meeting in Port Orchard and face several public hearings

Kitsap County Commissioners will hold a regular session beginning at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 25.

The meeting will be in the commission chambers at 619 Division St., in Port Orchard.

Commissioners will hear several public hearings regarding open space timber land, a designation used for property tax purposes. The applications for the designations are from Peter DeGroot and Manke Timber Co. and include land in the Hansville, Olalla and Poulsbo areas.

Another public hearing regarding the county code for setting disposal fees at county solid waste facilities will follow.

Other public matters include the appointment of two people to the Civil Service Commission, and several proclamations.
