BROWNSVILLE — Brownsville Highway about one mile south of the Keyport turnoff remained closed at 9:30 a.m. March 11 while road crews checked to be sure the roadway hadn’t been undermined and repaired the west shoulder that had been eroded away by floodwaters from the March 9 storm.
County crews at the scene said the highway would probably re-open to one-lane traffic during the afternoon. However, they cautioned the road was still flooded with two- to four-inches of water, and drivers should slow down and use extreme caution.
